TCF Quebec vs TCF Canada: Complete Difference Guide

When preparing to immigrate to Canada, candidates are often confused between TCF Canada and TCF Quebec. Choosing the wrong exam can waste time and money, so understanding the distinctions is vital.

What is TCF Canada?

TCF Canada is designed for candidates applying for economic immigration through Federal programs (Express Entry) or provincial programs outside of Quebec. It includes all four mandatory sections: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking.

What is TCF Quebec (TCF-Qu茅bec)?

TCF Quebec is exclusively for candidates applying for immigration to the province of Quebec through the Minist猫re de l'Immigration, de la Francisation et de l'Int茅gration (MIFI). Unlike TCF Canada, the sections are modular. You can choose to take only the sections required for your specific immigration pathway鈥攖ypically Listening and Speaking (Oral comprehension and expression) are the most heavily weighted.
