Canada uses the NCLC standard to assess French language skills. When you take the TCF Canada exam, your raw test scores are mapped to NCLC levels ranging from 1 to 12. Achieving a higher NCLC level directly translates into more CRS points.
How TCF Scores Map to NCLC Levels
To score an NCLC 7 (the benchmark for additional French speaker points in Express Entry), you must achieve the following scores in all four sections of the TCF Canada:
